Meet Dr. Susan Tsang

Education

Dr. Tsang was born and raised in Winnipeg and attained her Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree from the University of Manitoba in 2003, receiving the University Gold Medal for highest standing. At the same time as, she completed requirements for a Bachelor of Science degree in Dentistry.

She returned to the University of Manitoba to continue her studies in a post-graduate specialty program in orthodontics. Upon completing her research study and thesis, she was awarded a Master of Science degree and ss a certified specialist in orthodontics, Dr. Tsang has completed the Fellowship examinations from the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.

Experience

Dr. Tsang practices with the Winnipeg Orthodontic Group, located in Grant Park Shopping Centre. She is an Assistant Professor at the University of Manitoba, College of Dentistry, where she instructs dental students and graduate orthodontics residents. She participates in the Manitoba Dental Association Mentorship Program and serves as an orthodontist on the interdisciplinary team of the Manitoba Centre for Craniofacial Differences (Cleft Palate). Dr. Tsang served as a Provincial Director on the Board of the Canadian Association of Orthodontists for 10 years and she is pleased to volunteer with their Smiles 4 Canada program, providing orthodontic treatment to families that would have financial difficulties affording treatment otherwise.

Professional Affiliations

She maintains active membership in the following organizations: Manitoba Dental Association, Canadian Dental Association, Manitoba Society of Orthodontists, and the Canadian Association of Orthodontists.      

Outside the Office

In her spare time, she enjoys being active with running, curling, baking, and spending time with her friends and family. Dr. Tsang looks forward to working with you to create one of a kind smiles that you will love!
